Student Testimonials:

Here is her testimonial - I feel like this class really gave me time to dive deeply into how I can better support all of my students and reminded me of a lot of psychology classes I had forgotten about from my undergrad in college. It is so easy to get wrapped up in trying to get everything done, academically, as a teacher, but this class reminded me that without having our basic needs met (Maslow’s hierarchy) we can’t fully attend and learn

and grow.

This has been a very helpful class and I am very thankful that I was able to dive in deeper to what it means to truly lead and guide in situations that might arise in my classroom where a child needs more than just a teacher.  But also knowing that I am still just the teacher, but now I have more skills to help them and myself through these situations.  Thank you Natalie for offering this class.

The teacher as counselor class really came to life in my everyday teaching making the content totally relevant. I think for any teacher this class is relevant because we experience these topics continuously throughout the school year.
