Teaching today is difficult. Conflicts in the classroom are increasing and students need positive relationships with their teachers more than ever. Communication is the foundation of teaching, learning, and building relationships. In this course you will learn how to communicate with compassion using the steps of nonviolent communication. The course text is, Non violent Communication: A Language of Life empathy, collaboration, authenticity, and freedom by Marshall B Rosenberg, PhD. Upon completion of this course you will have a good understanding of and the knowledge to implement the steps of nonviolent communication in a genuine manner. These steps include identifying and expressing feelings, connecting compassionately with others, and conflict resolution and mediation.
