Student Testimonials:
The class has prepared me to use Chromebooks in new ways. I especially enjoyed watching videos with technology tips on all sorts of shortcuts and things I didn’t even know Chromebooks could do. It was great to see a huge list of resources that other educators have gathered on the spreadsheet. There were so many I’ve never used, and it’s a huge, varied collection!

I loved all the aspects of this course. It covered any aspect I could think of from the physical management and care of a Chromebook, the pros and cons of using Chromebooks, safety/privacy issues of Chromebooks as well as exploring all the apps and websites available for all subjects. It forced me to look at other subjects and what is offered for Chromebooks. I like the idea of the spreadsheet and the list of apps and websites that I can use as a reference.
I believe this class has me better prepared to use Chromebooks in the classroom. I learned some techniques to use as well as some great websites to implement. This course has provided some great resources that I may not have found otherwise.

The content and assignments in this class not only met but exceeded my desired learning outcomes. I appreciated the balance of resources and pedagogy with multiple perspectives shared in each Pinterest collection. While much of the content covered topics I was familiar with, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to dive deeper into them and consider possible next steps and implications for my work. In particular, the specific learning on UDL and digital citizenship represented the biggest ah-ha’s for me pedagogically. I see this learning having a great impact on my work with teachers.
By taking time first to wrap my head around these concepts, I feel more prepared to offer support to teachers, not as an expert but as an informed thought partner. Overall I am grateful for this learning opportunity and for the seamless connection with my work as a Technology Integration Coach.

Thank you for organizing this class so that the learning is very practical and applicable to teaching, rather than just theoretical.

I have definitely met my goals for this class. I was able to learn about many new apps and websites that I can immediately use with my students. These will be incredibly beneficial, especially as we continue to navigate distance learning. I was able to find much more efficient ways to use google classroom, and complete the same tasks that I had been doing in much less time. I appreciate the resources that were provided, and will continue to utilize them in the future.

I think it is essential to incorporate technology into the classroom at every age level. A big part of our focus as educators is to prepare students for life after school. If we are not teaching students how to utilize the tools they will be using in the real world we are setting them up for failure. In order to prepare students we have to do more than simply give them access to technology. We have to show them how to use technology and how to put it to work for them.
I was excited to take this course because it was a way to force myself to dive deeper into what tools are available and a way to expose myself to more resources. I feel I have taken away what I was looking for and more.

This class has been very enjoyable for me and has made me explore new ideas using technology in the classroom. Being able to take the time to research new websites was really great and I am excited to refer back to the lists I made as I teach this next year. I found the lesson planning very fun and insightful, encouraging me to apply what I had learned. I do appreciate all your feedback Ashley and look forward to taking more classes from you next summer!

I can directly use the things I learned in the course on a daily basis. And the beauty of it is I learned things that I can use in both my professional and personal life. I also think I learned and retained more than any other class. Not to mention a ton of tools and resources I can access later.
I think the assignments were very thought provoking and using the different types of info was awesome. I probably never would have thought to watch a video but I learned a ton from them. Recording all the info on the apps was also brilliant. It forced me to go more in depth and I looked at a lot more apps than I otherwise would have. I never would have taken the time on my own to gather and learn all this info. Completing the assignments were fun and exciting because of their usefulness. I honestly cannot say enough good things!
