Student Testimonials:

This class went over my expectations as far as letting me have the freedom to make it my own. I could go in the direction that I felt appropriate for my students and I wasn’t stuck doing work that I wouldn’t be using in my classroom. Thank you for allowing me to enrich my writing instruction through the use of reading, and for also enriching my reading instruction through the use of writing. I feel that this course has really enhanced my teaching practice and the hours that I worked on the coursework, will be a huge payout.

This course has been so much more than I expected. I think that after teaching 26 years, it sometimes becomes too routine and I wasn’t taking the time to evaluate my teaching. I was on cruise control, and while there were some great lessons in my wheelhouse, it needed a pep up. I LOVED the concept of writing before reading, as I had always done this the traditional way.

This course exceeded my expectations! I honestly think it is the most useful literacy book I have ever read and very user friendly. I love the way the Craft Moves chapters are organized and provide you with titles and how to use those titles to teach the various craft moves... I believe my students will gain the confidence and independence they need to take risks in writing and feel passionate about the subject because of this book and this class.
