Launching the Writing Workshop
Develop a deeper understanding of managing a classroom writing workshop as you immerse yourself in the works of Lucy Calkins and the Writing Project from Columbia University. Read, reflect and grow as a teacher of writers through study of this comprehensive overview of the processes and the structures of a writing workshop.
Included will be developing techniques on conferencing with young writers, art of observing, interviewing and probing techniques, and ways to redirect young writers.
Launching the K-2 Writing Workshop is for K-2nd
Launching the Writing Workshop in the Middle Grades is for 3rd-6th
Fall:
Register anytime until 11/5/10.
Course work due 12/5/10.

Fees: 3 Graduate Quarter Credits: $165 PSU + $480 TINT

Portland State University is changing the way fees are collected.
Although total tuition amounts are unchanged PSU credit students will now make two payments:
1.a course fee payable to TINT (paid by all students)
2. a credit fee payable to PSU (paid by credit students only)
