The Gift of Words: 

Enriching Students’ Vocabulary

Explore a variety of ways to enrich your student’s vocabulary while establishing a community of enthusiastic readers and writers. Learn how to develop a word-conscious classroom through class novels, read-alouds, independent reading and literature circles, activities and games. You will be working with the required text: The Word-Conscious Classroom: Building the Vocabulary Readers and Writers Need, by Scott, Skobel, and Wells.

Fall:

   Register anytime until 11/5/10.

    Course work due 12/5/10.        

    Grades posted online (www.pdx.edu) 12/15/10.

Fees:   3 Graduate Quarter Credits: $165 PSU + $480 TINT

Portland State University is changing the way fees are collected.

Although total tuition amounts are unchanged PSU credit students will now make two payments:

1. a course fee payable to TINT (paid by all students)

2. a credit fee payable to PSU (paid by credit students only)
