Developing a Reading Workshop Classroom

        Mary Mitchell and Jackie Knapp

Discover a mix of instructional components to incorporate into your Reading Workshop Classroom.  Learn practical strategies that support students while they gain reading independence.  Discuss how to put students at the center of literacy learning, as well as how to shape instruction to support ALL your learners.

Topics include how to develop a community of life-long readers using the Workshop Approach and how to employ instructional strategies that connect student learning to their independent reading.  Move from just teaching reading to developing readers!
