Children’s Books:

Folk & Fairy Tales, Fables & More      NEW!

Brooke Schmidt

Hundreds of outstanding books relating to folk tales, fairy tales, nursery rhymes, fables, myths and legends are available for use in the elementary classroom. This distance class will familiarize you with a variety of these offerings, and how to use them to create a successful literature-rich environment and to inspire in your children a lifelong love of reading.

Learn how to present these books in the classroom by designing lessons and projects to incorporate into your existing curriculum. At your own pace you will explore new and old folk and fairy tales, nursery rhymes, fables, legends and myths and their related websites, as well as current trends for engaging even your reluctant readers.
